Pilates

Pilates focus is on the “core” postural muscles, learning how to use those needed for stability of the trunk, strengthen weak muscles, lengthen those that are short, and increase joint mobility. No force is needed but slow flowing movements performed with control. Each movement is executed in the correct postural alignment, to encourage stability in the torso and length in the spine. Then you can begin to stretch or strengthen. Pilates is to rebalance your body, training your mind to control the body.
